Advanced Humidity Delivery,
Minimal Condensate
Humidification of inhaled gases has been standard of care in mechanical ventilation for a long period of time. The ideal inhaled gases is between 34ºC and 41ºC; 100% relative humidity for active humidifiers. While the higher the relative humidity, the warmer a surface temperature needs to be in order to avoid condensation.
The new IIC utilizes an advanced Two-Spiral heater wire in the Inspiratory limb, and Vent-X technology in the Expiratory limb. Both are designed to help protect against condensate and ensure effective delivery of humidity to the patient.
